Definition

What revenue management outsourcing means

Revenue management outsourcing is handing the daily pricing, inventory, distribution and forecasting decisions for a property to an external revenue management team instead of an in-house revenue manager. Alaa Elhadi delivers it remotely for hotels and short-term rentals, with a named revenue manager and a monthly review.

What an outsourced revenue manager takes off your plate

  • Daily rate, restriction and inventory decisions, by room type or per listing
  • Demand forecasting, booking pace, pickup and budget tracking
  • Distribution and rate parity across OTAs, GDS, wholesalers and direct
  • Comp-set and market monitoring, with event and seasonal calendars
  • Weekly notes and a monthly performance review with your team
  • A named revenue manager who answers in your time zone

Fixed fee, never a commission

Plans are priced by room band or listing count. Alaa never takes a percentage of your revenue, so the advice is never biased toward volume.

Your time zone, every day

A named revenue manager answers in your hours. Sessions and reviews are scheduled locally, wherever the property is.

Which model fits

Outsourcing, an in-house hire, or consulting?

Three honest options. Alaa offers two of them, and will tell you when the third is the better answer.

Outsourced revenue management

Alaa's team runs the function day to day on a monthly retainer. Best when nobody in-house owns pricing, or when the owner wants results without building a team.

  • Daily decisions made for you
  • Fixed monthly fee, never a percentage of revenue
  • Monthly reviews with your team
  • Start within a week, leave month to month

In-house revenue manager

A full-time hire is right for large hotels and portfolios with the volume to justify a salary, software and cover for holidays and turnover.

  • Salary, tools and training on your payroll
  • One person's experience and one market's view
  • Recruitment takes months, cover is your problem
  • Often paired with outsourced strategy reviews

Revenue management consulting

A fixed-scope audit and roadmap your own team executes. Best when you have people to run the plan and need an outside expert to build it.

  • Revenue audit, strategy and 12-month calendar
  • Fixed scope, fixed fee
  • Your team keeps running it
  • Can hand over to outsourced management later

Prefer the plan without the retainer? Revenue management consulting covers hotels and short-term rentals as a fixed-scope project.

Pricing

What outsourced revenue management costs

Monthly, in USD, billed month to month. Every plan has a Core, Plus and Pro scope; Plus and Pro add channel, segment and listing optimization on top of managed pricing.

FAQ

Revenue management outsourcing, answered

What is revenue management outsourcing?

Revenue management outsourcing means an external revenue management team runs your pricing, inventory, distribution and forecasting decisions instead of an in-house revenue manager. With Alaa Elhadi, a named revenue manager makes those decisions every day for your hotel or short-term rental portfolio, reports on them weekly and monthly, and works on a monthly retainer with no long-term lock-in.

What does an outsourced revenue manager do every day?

Reviews pickup and pace, adjusts rates and restrictions by room type or per listing, checks rate parity and channel performance, watches the comp set and upcoming events, and updates forecasts. Hotels also get group, corporate and package pricing decisions; short-term rentals get minimum-stay, gap-night, last-minute and channel-markup rules maintained in PriceLabs, Wheelhouse or Revenuenaire Dynamic Pricing.

How much does outsourced revenue management cost?

Hotels are priced by room band: Core starts at $650 a month for a boutique property of up to 20 rooms, with Plus and Pro scopes at 35% and 75% more, and custom quotes above 200 rooms or for multi-property groups. Short-term rentals are priced by listing count from $225 a month for one listing. Alaa never charges a percentage of your revenue.

Is outsourcing cheaper than hiring an in-house revenue manager?

For independent hotels under about 200 rooms and rental portfolios under a few hundred listings, almost always. An in-house hire costs a salary plus software, training and cover, and gives you one person's experience. Outsourcing to Alaa's team gives you 18 years of experience across five-star chains, independent hotels and thousands of short-term rentals, for a fixed monthly fee you can stop month to month.

Do you outsource revenue management for Airbnb and short-term rentals, or only hotels?

Both. Hotels, resorts and serviced apartments get a dedicated strategist on a Core, Plus or Pro plan priced by room count. Airbnb hosts, vacation-rental owners and property management companies get managed pricing on a Core, Plus or Pro plan priced by listing count, from a single listing to portfolios of hundreds.

Which PMS, channel managers and pricing tools do you work with?

Hotels: Opera Cloud, Mews, Cloudbeds, SiteMinder, Little Hotelier, RoomRaccoon and most PMS with a rate integration. Short-term rentals: Hospitable, Hostaway, Guesty, OwnerRez, Lodgify, Smoobu, Beds24, Hostfully and Uplisting, with pricing run in PriceLabs, Wheelhouse or Revenuenaire Dynamic Pricing. If your system is not listed, ask.

Do I keep control of my rates?

Yes. You set the guardrails: minimum and maximum rates, blackout dates, owner stays and any commercial rule. Every change is visible in your PMS and pricing tool and explained in the monthly review, and strategy changes are agreed with you before they go live.

Is there a contract, and how fast can we start?

Engagements run month to month with no long-term lock-in. Most properties are live within a week of sharing PMS and channel access: onboarding covers the rate audit, comp set, seasonal and event calendar and the first round of changes.

Do you work in my country or city?

Yes. Alaa works remotely with hotels and hosts in any country and schedules every session in your time zone. Dedicated market pages cover 79 countries and 451+ cities, each with its own seasonality, events and pricing strategy notes.

What is included in outsourced revenue management?

Everything a revenue department does. Daily pricing decisions per room type or listing, minimum-stay and availability rules, distribution and OTA rate-parity checks, a rolling 12-month forecast with pace tracking, event and season planning, and a monthly report with a live review call. Setting up your pricing tool and channel manager is part of onboarding. Guest messaging, listing content and marketing spend are not included; they stay with your team or your OTA optimization service.

What happens in the first 30 days?

Week one is access and audit: your PMS, channel manager, pricing tool and OTA extranets are connected, then the last 12 months of pace, ADR and occupancy are benchmarked against your market. Week two is the strategy: base prices, seasonality, lead-time rules, minimum stays and channel markups are rebuilt and agreed with you on a call. From week three your revenue manager prices daily and you receive the first weekly note. Day 30 is the first monthly review, with the forecast for the next 12 months.

What results should I expect after 90 days?

Most properties see the change in RevPAR within the first two months, because mispriced peak nights and unfilled gaps are corrected immediately. Across hotels and short-term rental portfolios the typical result after a full season is 10 to 25 percent more revenue on the same inventory, with occupancy roughly flat and ADR carrying the gain. You measure it in the monthly report against your own prior year and against market pace, not against a benchmark we choose.
