Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Barcelona. Barcelona is the clearest example in Europe of a market with an end date. The city plans to withdraw tourist apartment licences by late 2028, so a licensed flat today is a shrinking, valuable asset. I price those remaining years to earn as much as possible from Mobile World Congress, Primavera Sound and summer, and help owners plan what the flat becomes afterwards.
For a licensed Barcelona flat, I review the licence position, the MWC and festival calendar, and the right mix of short and longer stays, then build a plan that earns well from the remaining licensed years and prepares the next use of the flat.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Barcelona.
