Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Johannesburg. Johannesburg is a corporate market centred on Sandton, and Kruger is a safari market. They share a country but nothing else. Sandton needs weekday corporate pricing and December is quiet there, while Kruger-area homes peak in the dry season. Security, backup power and reliable wifi matter more to guests here than in most markets, so I make sure those features are visible and reflected in price.
Johannesburg and Kruger need two different strategies, and I help owners build each one. For Sandton, we focus on corporate pricing and weekday demand. For homes near the park, we focus on safari seasons and domestic holidays. I review your setup, guest mix and channels and agree a full-year plan for each property.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Johannesburg.
