Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Aveiro. Aveiro is a short-stay market. Most guests come for a night or two on a Porto to Lisbon road trip, ride a moliceiro on the canals, eat ovos moles and drive out to the striped houses at Costa Nova. Summer belongs to the beaches at Barra and Costa Nova, while the University of Aveiro and local industry keep weekdays alive the rest of the year. I price the canal-side centre and the beach strip as separate products.
For Aveiro owners I work out whether the property is a road-trip stop, a beach house or a business base, then set stay rules, a weekday strategy and the right summer peak. It suits owners with one or two units who want clarity without handing over full management.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Aveiro.
