Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Isle of Man. The Isle of Man has one fortnight that dominates the year: the TT. Fans book the practice and race weeks a year ahead, often the same house every year, and ferry space sells out with them. The Festival of Motorcycling in late August is a smaller second peak. The rest of the year rests on finance and e-gaming business guests. I price TT first, then build a steady base.
For an Isle of Man owner I review whether the property sits under homestay or full registration, how TT was sold, and how the rest of the year performs. You get a written plan with TT rates set early, a second peak for August and weekday rates for business guests, plus my view on whether full-year letting is worth it.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Isle of Man.
