Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Mauritius. Mauritius has a European winter peak and a useful South African school-holiday season in mid-year. Couples and honeymooners stay one to two weeks. Villas compete with resorts on privacy and value. Guests often compare a villa with a resort on total cost, so presenting space, privacy and what is included makes the difference between a booking and a pass. French-speaking guests from France and Réunion are a large segment, so French listing content and their holiday calendars can make a clear difference.
For a Mauritius villa I look at three questions together: which coast you sell, which source markets you attract, and how you stand next to the resorts. I review licensing, minimum stays and the seasonal plan, then give you a clear yearly strategy with Christmas, French and Réunion holidays and the South African winter mapped out.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Mauritius.
