Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Sibiu. Sibiu sells atmosphere more than size: the Large Square, the Bridge of Lies and the Saxon churches of Biertan and Cisnădioara, with the Transfăgărășan drawing road-trippers in summer. Two moments carry the year, the International Theatre Festival in June and the Christmas market from late November. Most guests stay two or three nights and arrive by car or a low-cost flight. I build the calendar around those two peaks and price weekends, not weekdays, as the core of the business.
With a Sibiu owner I review last year's Theatre Festival and Christmas market results, check how weekends compare with weekdays, and decide where the property sits between old-town apartment and country house. The output is a written calendar with targets for each season and a short list of listing fixes.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Sibiu.
