Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of The Alentejo. The Alentejo and Comporta look like one region on the map but behave like two markets. Comporta and Melides sell barefoot luxury to Lisbon weekenders and international families in July and August, with villa weeks that sell long before summer. Inland, Évora, Monsaraz and the wine estates are uncomfortably hot in high summer and do their best business in spring and autumn. I price the coast and the plains on separate calendars, even for an owner with one house in each.
For Alentejo owners I start by deciding which market the property belongs to, coast, plains or both, then set a calendar with the right peak months, stay rules and registration in order. It suits estate owners and villa investors who want a clear plan before choosing an agency or managing it themselves.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in The Alentejo.
