Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of The Dordogne. The Dordogne is the classic gîte holiday: British, Dutch and French families on Saturday-to-Saturday weeks in stone houses with pools, close to Sarlat, the castles of the valley and the caves of the Vézère. June and September belong to couples. I price the pool, the view and the walk to a village, and I protect July and August weeks from short stays.
With a Dordogne owner I review the last few summers by week, look at pool and location against real neighbours, and set a plan for summer weeks, June and September couples and the winter. I also check channels, classification and tax collection.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in The Dordogne.
