Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Gran Canaria. Gran Canaria is a long-stay winter island. Scandinavians, Britons and Germans come for two or three weeks to the south, while Las Palmas has become a year-round base for remote workers. Carnival and the Pride weeks in Maspalomas add sharp peaks. I set the price by stay length first, then by event, and I keep the south and the capital on separate curves.
For a Gran Canaria owner I review compliance, the long-stay structure, the Carnival and Pride dates and whether the flat really belongs to the southern resort market or to the Las Palmas city market. The plan then sets targets for winter weeks, monthly stays and the quieter early summer.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Gran Canaria.
