Booking.com optimization for hotels is the work I do to make a property rank, convert and price correctly on Booking.com. I complete the content score, order the photos for the result card, set up rate plans, Genius and promotions, and fix policies that cost you visibility.
What I plan around in Hallstatt: the postcard lakeside village of Hallstatt and its salt mine, the world's oldest; the Dachstein ice caves and Krippenstein cable car; Bad Ischl's imperial spa heritage as a European Capital of Culture; boating on the Wolfgangsee and Hallstattersee lakes. Guests I price for: International sightseers, many arriving as day-trippers but the overnight market skewing to couples on one to three nights in Hallstatt, Bad Ischl and St Wolfgang. Where I start: Capturing scarce overnight demand at premium rates in an overtourism-pressured village, encouraging longer lake-and-mountain stays, and meeting Salzkammergut registration and tourist-tax rules.
Hallstatt sells mostly through Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo. For lakeside hotels and guesthouses I use my five-star chain experience to separate tour-group, independent and package demand, protect rooms from early low-rate allotments in summer, and price lake-view categories on their own, with a comp set drawn from the same lake.
The service in general is described on my hotel ota optimization page; this page covers how I apply it in Hallstatt.
