“Mammoth Lakes and Yosemite are two mountain seasons fed by Southern California. Mammoth's ski season is long, and Yosemite summer depends on park access and reservations. Snowfall, road conditions and park rules can change demand quickly, so I build a strong base strategy but review pace more often than in most markets.”
Alaa Elhadi, revenue management consultant. Cornell certified, 18 years in hotel and short-term rental revenue.
The moves Alaa makes first when a hotel or host in Mammoth Lakes books a session, and the errors he corrects most often. Every one is set up inside your own pricing tool, so it keeps working after the call.
Price Mammoth holiday weeks and Presidents' Day as the top ski bands.
Adjust winter weekends after big snowfall, when Southern California demand jumps.
Build a June to September season for Yosemite visitors with 2 to 3-night stays.
Set May and October to November floors with short stays.
Review booking pace often, since weather and park access can shift demand.

I keep MLK and Presidents' Day weekends as their own bands with longer stays, and price ordinary midweeks to attract Southern California families who ski outside the holidays.
Spring skiing can run late after a big winter, so I keep weekend rates alive while the lifts spin and switch to short stays and lower floors once the season winds down.
Once Tioga Pass opens, eastside homes become a Yosemite base, so I lift summer weekends from that date and price the bike park, Lakes Basin and Devils Postpile crowd too.
Aside from the June Lake fall colour weekends, demand is thin until opening day, so I allow one or two night stays and hold the floor rather than chasing it down.
These are the most valuable nights of the Mammoth year; I open them a season ahead with a five or seven night minimum and release shorter stays only at the edges.
One person does the thinking on your account. Choose the kind of help your property in Mammoth Lakes needs; everything is remote, 1-on-1 and scheduled in your time zone.
For an owner in Mammoth or a Yosemite gateway, I check the zoning and tax set-up first, then build a two-season plan with clear shoulder rules, holiday blocks and a review routine for snow and road news, so pricing reacts to conditions instead of to panic.
For Airbnb and Vrbo hosts I configure PriceLabs or Wheelhouse with the Mammoth holiday calendar, a Tioga opening trigger for summer, ski-season minimum stays, and shoulder floors, plus a separate rule set for west-side homes that follows the park season and its spring waterfall weeks.
I spent a decade in five-star hotel revenue, so for Mammoth lodges and Yosemite-area hotels I work on ski-package pricing, group and race-team blocks, length-of-stay controls over the holidays, and summer rate fences tied to park access, so the strong winter and summer seasons each carry their own pricing logic.

Yes, heavy snow increases demand quickly. Alaa reviews pricing after big storms and adjusts weekends and holiday periods.
Park access rules can change when and how guests visit. Alaa watches booking pace and adjusts summer pricing accordingly.
For homes in Mammoth and June Lake it does. When the pass on Highway 120 is open, the eastside becomes a practical base for Yosemite, which adds midweek demand. I keep summer rates moderate until the pass opens and lift them once the road is confirmed.
It depends on the date. Holiday weeks justify five nights or more, normal weekends two or three, and quiet midweeks sometimes one or two. I set minimums by period rather than one rule for the whole winter, which keeps the calendar from filling with gaps.
