Regional and niche hotel OTA optimization is the work I do to make a property rank, convert and price correctly on regional and niche OTAs. I decide which regional OTAs are worth your time, then set up content, rates and mapping through your channel manager with parity checked.
What I plan around in Rovaniemi: Santa Claus Village on the Arctic Circle; aurora viewing and glass-igloo stays; husky and reindeer safaris and snowmobiling; Ranua Wildlife Park and downhill runs at Ounasvaara. Guests I price for: International families over Christmas and couples chasing the aurora, mostly on three to five night stays near Rovaniemi and the Santa attractions. Where I start: Treating December as the flagship premium period with long minimum stays, sustaining rate through the January to March aurora season, and floor-pricing the muddy spring and autumn shoulders.
Rovaniemi sells mostly through Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and Expedia. For hotels and glass-igloo resorts in Lapland I use my five-star chain experience to balance tour operator and charter allotments with direct bookings, set length-of-stay rules for December, and price aurora-view rooms as a separate category with their own comp set.
The service in general is described on my other hotel ota optimization page; this page covers how I apply it in Rovaniemi.
