Alaa's take on Texel
“Texel is a ferry-and-bike island where demand follows Dutch and German school holidays almost exactly. Families fill weekly stays in summer, couples come for weekends in spring and autumn, and birdwatchers keep October busier than many coastal markets. De Koog carries beach demand while Den Burg and Oosterend sell village calm. The other Wadden islands each behave differently. I price Texel by holiday calendar and by village, never as one island average.”
