Alaa's take on Val d'Isère
“Val d'Isère and Tignes share one of the highest ski areas in the Alps, and that altitude is the pricing story. Snow is dependable from late November, the season runs into early May, and the Grande Motte glacier gives Tignes summer skiing too. British groups book chalet weeks in Val d'Isère while French families favour Tignes apartments. I price the late season higher than most resorts would dare, because the snow is still there.”
