Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Bellingham. Bellingham is a base for Mount Baker skiing, the San Juan Islands and cross-border travel. Winter snow and summer island trips are the peaks, and Canadian demand moves with the exchange rate. Western Washington University adds events. Guests use the city as a base rather than a destination in itself, so location relative to the ferry, the mountain road or the border often matters more than the home's size.
For a Bellingham home or a few cabins up the Mount Baker Highway, I review where your guests really come from, how your winter and summer seasons are split, and whether the exchange rate is quietly shaping your occupancy. Then we agree a year plan with clear floors for the soft months.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Bellingham.
