Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Clemson. Clemson and Lake Hartwell are two markets sharing one map. In the autumn everything turns on Tigers home games at Memorial Stadium, where groups want two or three nights and arrive early on Friday. In summer the lake takes over, with Upstate and north Georgia families booking full weeks around the dock. Winter is quiet on both. I run lake homes with game-weekend minimums in the autumn and weekly blocks in summer, and I price the two seasons on separate curves.
With a Clemson or Hartwell owner I map the home against two calendars, Tigers football and the summer lake season, and decide which one it should lead with. Together we set changeover days, minimum stays and winter floors, and I show you how to judge an early group inquiry for a home game against the rate the date could earn.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Clemson.
