Alaa's take on Orkney
“Orkney is a supply-limited island market where ferries and the cruise timetable shape the week. Summer beds are scarce, so the real risk is selling them too cheaply and too early. Cruise days fill Kirkwall's streets more than its beds, while festival weeks, archaeology visitors and people working on the islands do need rooms. I price for scarcity from May to September and for patience through the long, dark months.”
