Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Bristol. Bristol has two big summer events, the Harbour Festival in July and the Balloon Fiesta in August, plus concerts and business travel. Stays are short. I price festivals and keep midweeks for business. Weekend visitors come for the harbourside and events, while weekday guests are mostly business travellers, so one flat weekly price usually undersells one of them.
For a Bristol owner I pin down the real segment first, then map festivals, graduations, Ashton Gate fixtures and corporate weekdays onto one plan. We set where the premiums sit, how low weekends can go in winter, and when Bath's busy weekends should push your rates up too.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Bristol.
