Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Corfu. Corfu and the Ionian Islands still run on the charter calendar: flights from the UK and northern Europe set the season, and families book full weeks, often Saturday to Saturday. Corfu also has Orthodox Easter, one of the busiest spring weeks in Greece. Zakynthos, Kefalonia and Lefkada each behave differently. I build each island's curve around its flight days and the school holidays of the guests who fly in.
For an Ionian owner I map flight days, the changeover rule, school holidays in the main source markets and the right comp set for the island. The plan shows which weeks to protect, when to accept shorter stays and how to handle tour operator allotments.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Corfu.
