Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Napa. Napa and Sonoma are weekend markets for couples and wedding parties, with harvest as the high point. Midweek is a different story, and permits in both counties are limited, which keeps well-permitted homes in demand. Most of the revenue I recover here comes from pricing harvest and wedding weekends earlier and treating weekdays as their own season.
For a wine-country owner I confirm the permit, then position the home by valley, walkability and wedding access, and build a calendar that values harvest and wedding weekends fully while giving midweeks and winter their own practical plan, built around what the home is actually allowed to do.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Napa.
