Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Oslo. Oslo has a short summer peak, a Christmas season and Holmenkollen in March. Norway also limits short-term letting of some property types to 90 days a year, so nights must go to the best dates. Business travel supports weekdays. Prices in Norway are high for guests, so value matters. A well-equipped flat with a kitchen competes strongly against hotels, especially for families and longer stays.
For Oslo owners I first confirm whether the 90-day limit applies to the building, then decide which dates deserve those days. From there I set clear plans for summer, December, Holmenkollen and the business weekdays, with floors that protect value in an expensive city where guests compare carefully.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Oslo.
