Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Tucson. Tucson's biggest pricing event is not a sports game or a festival most people know: it is the Gem, Mineral and Fossil Showcase in late January and February. Exhibitors and buyers book homes for weeks, often a year ahead. Add snowbirds and university events, and winter is strong. Summer heat is the challenge.
For a Tucson owner I start with licences and the gem-show calendar, then look at how winter months are sold and how summer is handled. We agree on long-stay pricing, event premiums and floors together, so you capture the peak and keep summer from losing money.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Tucson.
