Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Lake Lure. Lake Lure and Hendersonville are two different products about forty minutes apart. Lake Lure sells summer weeks on the water and views into Hickory Nut Gorge, while Hendersonville sells orchards, Main Street and family visits to the many retirees who live there. Both peak again in October. Recovery after Hurricane Helene changed the area sharply, so I price from current bookings and what is actually open, not from older years.
For an owner here, I start with one question: is your home a lake product, a Hendersonville product or a bit of both? From that answer we build separate summer and autumn plans, decide how to handle family visit demand in winter, and set a review rhythm that tracks the region's recovery month by month.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Lake Lure.
