Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Saaremaa. Saaremaa is a short northern summer with a spa tradition behind it. Kuressaare's castle and spa hotels keep some trade going all year, but cottages and farm stays on Saaremaa, Muhu and Hiiumaa earn most of their money between Midsummer and August. Guests are mainly Estonian and Finnish, and every trip depends on the ferry. I price Midsummer and the July event weeks hardest, sell spa weekends in winter and plan minimum stays around ferry travel.
For an owner on the Estonian islands I map the real season, check how ferry access shapes stay length, and decide whether the property should open all year or close for winter. The plan covers Midsummer pricing, summer event weeks and spa season targets.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Saaremaa.
