Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Lake Arrowhead. Lake Arrowhead and Crestline are close to Los Angeles, which means weekends, not weeks. Summer water and winter snow are the peaks, and powder days bring sudden demand. Oktoberfest adds an autumn event. Being so close to Los Angeles means guests decide late, especially when snow is forecast. I keep weekend pricing responsive and midweek pricing simple, rather than locking rates months ahead.
For Lake Arrowhead and Crestline owners I check permit status, lake privileges and winter access before touching price. Then I map the two peaks, summer water and winter snow, and give the long quiet stretches between them a realistic target so the year does not depend on a few storm weekends.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Lake Arrowhead.
