Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Santander. Cantabria is Spain's cool-summer escape. Families from Madrid and Castilla y León book El Sardinero and the coastal towns for a week or more once the interior heats up, while ferries from Portsmouth and Plymouth bring British drivers through Santander most of the year. Inland, the Picos de Europa and Santillana del Mar sell shorter stays. I price a short, sharp summer and keep rural houses on weekly terms, knowing the rain shapes everything outside July and August.
With a Cantabria owner I start from the registration position and the real guest mix, then map the year: a two-month beach summer, a long walking shoulder and a quiet wet winter. I set targets for each and show where the property sits against the coast or the mountains rather than against Bilbao.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Santander.
