Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Stratford-upon-Avon. Stratford sells theatre nights and short couples' breaks, and the Royal Shakespeare Company season is the calendar that matters most. A strong production can fill weeknights that would otherwise be soft, while Saturdays sell almost regardless. Shakespeare's birthday weekend in April opens the busy months, and the wider Warwickshire stock around Warwick and Kenilworth takes castle visitors and Cotswolds explorers. I price around the stage first and the weekend second.
For a Stratford owner I review how the property compares with real competitors near the theatres, how weekends and weeknights are priced against the stage season, and whether winter floors make sense. I leave a calendar with targets for the main season, the Christmas weeks and the quiet start of the year.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Stratford-upon-Avon.
