Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Tampa. Tampa Bay splits into two businesses: city stays around Gasparilla, Spring Training and sports, and beach stays in St. Pete Beach and Clearwater. Winter is strong across both, and snowbirds are a real segment. What I watch most is the balance between monthly snowbird bookings and the higher short-stay rates around January to April events.
For a Tampa Bay owner I separate city demand from beach demand first, then review how winter is sold, which events deserve their own price and how hurricane season is handled. We finish with a calendar that balances snowbird months against short-stay peaks and keeps August to October realistic.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Tampa.
