Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Mendocino. Mendocino and the Redwood Coast are romantic coastal getaways for Bay Area couples. Supply is low and the drive is long, so guests stay a few nights. Summer and autumn are strongest, and spring whale festivals lift March. Because the coast is hard to reach and inventory is small, a well-presented home with a view can hold its rate better than owners think, even outside summer, if the minimum stay matches how far guests drive.
For a Mendocino Coast owner I check permits, then position the home by atmosphere, view and drive time, and build a calendar around festivals, autumn's clear weather and the quiet rainy months. The aim is a year that holds value without relying only on summer weekends.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Mendocino.
