Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Paso Robles Wine Country. Paso Robles is a large and growing wine region with festival peaks. The Wine Festival in May, Harvest Wine Weekend in autumn and the Mid-State Fair in July bring the biggest crowds. Weekdays are quieter. The region is large, so a home in the west-side hills and one near downtown attract different guests. I price each by its district and what is within a short drive.
For a Paso Robles owner, I review which district the home sits in, how festival and harvest weekends are priced, and how midweek is handled. Then I build a calendar that follows the wine year, from Zinfandel weekend through harvest, with realistic floors for the quieter months.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Paso Robles Wine Country.
