Hotel revenue management consulting is an independent review followed by a plan. I look at 12 to 24 months of your own data, shop your comp set, and find where rates, restrictions or channels are costing you money. Unlike outsourcing, I do not make your daily decisions; your team does, with a better plan.
This is my view of Gibraltar. Gibraltar is a tiny market with very little supply and three kinds of guest. Lawyers, finance and online gaming staff fill weekdays; British couples come for two or three nights around the Rock, the macaques and Main Street; and cruise passengers mostly leave by evening. Every guest can see cheaper beds in La Línea and along the Costa del Sol, so I price against the frontier as much as against the rest of the Rock.
For Gibraltar owners I check licensing, the comparison with Spanish-side stays and the business and leisure split, then set a plan for weekdays, weekends and the few event dates. It suits owners of single flats who want a clear plan in a market with little public data.
The service in general is described on my hotel revenue management consulting page; this page covers how I apply it in Gibraltar.
