An Airbnb pricing strategy is the set of rules that decide what each night is worth: base, minimum and maximum prices, seasons, events, minimum stays, gap nights, last-minute pricing, length-of-stay discounts and channel markups. The tool applies the rules; the strategy is what makes the tool worth having. Smart Pricing is not a strategy, because it optimizes for Airbnb's fill rate and knows nothing about your events or other channels.
What I plan around in Azores: Whale and dolphin watching; Hiking and hot springs on São Miguel; Direct flights from North America and Europe; Surf and diving. Guests I price for: European and North American nature travellers on 4 to 7 night stays. Where I start: Summer premiums, shoulder-season length-of-stay discounts, and AL compliance.
I set up your pricing with whale season, island festivals and summer as separate bands, plus minimum stays that suit four to seven-night trips. Airbnb and Booking.com follow the same rules, and I make sure weather and travel policies are clear for guests.
The service in general is described on my airbnb pricing strategy page; this page covers how I apply it in Azores.
